Join us for a celebration of the great diversity of the United States of America in the 75th Anniversary year of American Youth Hostels, now known as Hostelling International USA. All proceeds support cultural understanding and education for Chicago area youth.

Education Support

Blue Rendezvous funds the education programs at Hostelling International Chicago. Over 1,500 students each year participate in education programs with the hostel. Education partners include Chicago Public Schools, Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, Girl Scouts of Chicago and many Chicago-area community based organizations. Together we teach openmindedness, respect for diversity and create caring world citizens. Thank you to all of our Blue Rendezvous sponsors throughout the years for their strong support of cultural learning education opportunities provided by the hostel.

Tickets: All tickets are handled as WILL CALL, so you will not receive a paper ticket. Please check in at the registration desk when you arrive at Blue Rendezvous. Tickets are $100/person through Monday, February 23rd and then $115 thereafter. Tickets will be available at the door if the event is not sold out. Please call Thomas Applegate at 312.583.2229 to check on availability if after Thursday, February 26th.

Transportation: Public transportation is very convenient to the hostel with all L lines nearby and many bus routes. If you’re driving, there are many nearby parking lots within a block of our corner, Congress and Wabash, next door to the Auditorium Building.

Attire: The hostel is not uptight about what you wear to the event. Get dressed up, and you will not be alone. Dress down, no problem. All we ask is that you feel comfortable, look good and have fun.

Nonprofit: Hostelling International Chicago is an Illinois nonprofit and an IRS 501(c)(3) qualified organization. For tax deductibility purposes, the fair market value of your ticket is $60 each, and therefore $40 of each ticket is deductible.
