MCC Sailing Program

The MCC Sail Chicago program owns and operates a fleet of sailboats on Lake Michigan. Sail Chicago conducts all levels of sailing instruction for members at reasonable fees. Sail Chicago also promotes recreational sailing, racing, and socializing. Through volunteer efforts safe boat handling and an appreciation for the nautical arts is stressed, as well as service to the sailing community of Chicago. During the sailing season, sailboat rides are offered to Chicago Hostel guests, and through the Urban Youth Sailing Program opportunities are provided to at-risk youth to experience the fun of sailing on the city’s lakefront.
